Jenny Smith

Jenny brings more than 30 years of experience in healthcare and specializes in supporting adults navigating the complex intersection of mental and physical health. She is especially passionate about working with individuals living with co-existing psychiatric and medical conditions, including those experiencing anxiety, depression, fear of recurrence, and emotional distress related to cancer and chronic illness.

As a breast cancer survivor herself, Jenny brings a deeply personal understanding of the uncertainty, emotional challenges, and physical realities that can accompany a serious health diagnosis. Her lived experience, combined with extensive clinical training, allows her to connect with clients from both a professional and deeply human perspective.

Jenny helps clients better understand the connection between their emotional and physical experiences while developing practical strategies to build resilience, confidence, and a greater sense of control throughout treatment, survivorship, and life's transitions.

Jenny's approach is collaborative, empowering, and goal oriented. She believes therapy is most effective when clients understand their experiences, feel informed about their options, and have an active role in determining the direction of their care.

She uses a shared decision-making model to ensure that treatment reflects each client's values, priorities, and readiness for change. Education is an important part of her work, particularly around the mind-body connection and the ways emotional and physical health can influence one another.

Jenny integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, motivational interviewing, solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness-based approaches to help clients identify what is within their control, strengthen their existing abilities, and develop practical strategies for meaningful and sustainable change.

What to Expect

The first session with Jenny is calm, supportive, and structured around understanding what brings you to therapy and what you hope to accomplish. Together, you will identify your needs and establish clear goals that become shared priorities for the work ahead.

Jenny believes in creating a collaborative roadmap for therapy, so you know what you are working toward and why. Throughout the process, she will help you develop insight, recognize your strengths, and identify practical steps that support your emotional wellbeing.

A Bit Outside the Office

Jenny brings both extensive professional experience and personal understanding to her work. As a breast cancer survivor, she understands how deeply illness can affect every part of a person's life and how important it is to have support that recognizes both the emotional and physical experience.

Outside of work, Jenny enjoys exercising, spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren, listening to music, and attending sporting events. She values the relationships and experiences that keep her connected, active, and grounded.

A Note from Jenny

It's completely natural to feel nervous about beginning therapy. Opening up and exploring your inner world takes courage, and you do not need to have everything figured out before you begin.

Jenny believes therapy is a journey that unfolds in small, manageable steps. What matters most is showing up with a willingness to explore, learn, and grow. You will never be expected to have all the answers at the beginning. Together, you can identify what matters most, create a plan, and take the next step at a pace that feels manageable.

Your vibe is waiting for you.

Whenever you're ready, we're here, with the time, the attention, and the healthcare you've always deserved.
