Iruj Humayun

Iruj works with adults and adolescents navigating anxiety, relationship challenges, life transitions, neurodivergence, parenting, postpartum mental health, and the many experiences that can shape how we understand ourselves and our relationships. She is especially passionate about supporting women, new and growing families, immigrants, and individuals navigating cultural, generational, and identity-related experiences.

Her work is grounded in a holistic, person-centered approach that makes space for each client's lived experience, family dynamics, culture, and individual needs. Iruj believes therapy can be a place to set down some of the weight you have been carrying, understand what is underneath it, and begin building the skills and confidence to move forward.

Iruj's approach is holistic, person-centered, and outcome-driven. She works collaboratively with clients to understand their unique circumstances and identify strategies that support meaningful, lasting change.

She draws from evidence-based approaches including CBT, DBT skills, family systems, and art and play therapy. Depending on what a client needs, she may take on different roles within the therapeutic relationship. Sometimes that means simply listening and creating space to feel. Sometimes it means identifying patterns and developing practical coping skills. Other times, it means providing education around neuroscience, brain chemistry, family dynamics, or mental health.

Iruj believes effective therapy is built on trust, connection, and showing up for yourself. Her goal is to help clients feel grounded, develop greater self-awareness, and build skills that fit their actual lives.

What to Expect

The first session with Iruj is a chance to begin setting down some of the things you have been carrying. She understands that by the time someone makes the decision to call a therapist, they have often been managing a lot on their own for quite some time.

The first session is about getting comfortable in a safe space, getting to know each other, and beginning to explore what you need support with. Iruj will work alongside you to understand your experiences, identify challenges, and begin developing goals for therapy.

You do not have to have everything figured out before you begin. The process starts simply by showing up and giving yourself permission to be supported.

A Bit Outside the Office

Iruj is deeply passionate about people, their stories, and the many experiences that shape who they become. She brings curiosity and genuine investment to her work and believes that supporting someone's growth is both meaningful and deeply personal.

Outside of work, there are three things Iruj absolutely loves: her son, food, and hiking trails and treks, in that particular order.

A Note from Iruj

The first step is usually the hardest. If reaching out for therapy feels vulnerable or uncomfortable, that does not mean you are doing something wrong. It means you are taking a meaningful step toward caring for yourself.

Iruj encourages clients to show up for themselves in the same way they show up for the people they love. Therapy is one of the many ways you can do that. You do not have to carry everything on your own, and you do not have to know exactly where to begin. You can start wherever you are, and figure out the rest together.

Your vibe is waiting for you.

Whenever you're ready, we're here, with the time, the attention, and the healthcare you've always deserved.
